Maternity insurance provides extra support and security, both during and after your pregnancy. Starting when you are 16 weeks pregnant, and maintained until the child turns 6 months of age.
Insurance during pregnancy
If your child suffers an accident that results in medical incapacitation, compensation is paid based on the incapacitation level. We double the sum in cases where medical impairment exceeds 50%.
We also provide immediate financial support of NOK 200 000 in the event that your child is born with one of 14 serious congenital diseases, including:
- Downs syndrome
- Cerebral palsy (CP)
- Hydrocephalus
- Spina bifida
In addition, you receive a daily allowance in the event of prolonged hospital admission.

Choose between Basic and Super Pregnancy Insurance
Basic Pregnancy Insurance is a simplified policy that covers medical disability for the mother and child resulting from an accident, as well as compensation in the event of death. Compensation for medical disability is up to NOK 500,000 and is determined based on the degree of disability. If the disability exceeds 50%, the compensation is doubled to NOK 1 million.
Super Pregnancy Insurance provides comprehensive protection for both the expectant mother and the child. It covers pregnancy- and childbirth-related complications for the mother, financial first aid for selected serious congenital conditions, and compensation for hospital stays. In addition, it provides compensation of up to NOK 2 million for medical disability resulting from an accident.
Super Pregnancy Insurance also includes free access to valuable services such as 24/7 medical advice, psychological first aid, and free access to Nørs+ through their app. This offers additional support and assistance during what can be a challenging time.
